Additionally, major insurers like State Farm and Allstate have ceased new policies in high-risk areas like California, Louisiana, and Florida, citing issues like wildfires and flooding. Meanwhile, rental prices are being driven up by landlords using RealPage software, leading to concerns of collusion amid a lagging housing supply that fails to meet increasing demand.
