President Joe Biden is implementing a comprehensive ban on offshore oil and natural gas drilling across 625 million acres of ocean, covering the East and West coasts, the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, and Alaska’s North Bering Sea. In his announcement, Biden emphasized that drilling could inflict irreversible harm on essential coastal areas and is unnecessary for fulfilling the nation’s energy needs. He expressed that the potential risks outweigh any benefits of drilling in these regions. This decision contrasts sharply with the pro-drilling rhetoric of former President Trump, who promoted an aggressive drilling agenda during his campaign with the aim of reducing energy costs for Americans. Biden’s move underscores a shift in U.S. energy policy, focusing on environmental protection and sustainability over expanded fossil fuel extraction. The Biden administration is likely positioning itself to prioritize renewable energy and address climate change concerns while ensuring the safety and well-being of coastal communities and ecosystems.

Literally doing a good thing, i know conservatives cant read past a third grade level and don’t understand that our constant consumption of fossil fuels is literally what cause the mass deaths of millions of wild life and their environment, i dont support the Battery wave either cause that requires more precious minerals to be dug up but we literally have scientists and engineers who have been screaming for decades about clean and renewable sources of energy
