Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning expressed interest in becoming a minority owner of the team he played for over 16 years, contingent on the Mara family’s willingness to sell a stake. In a CNBC Sport interview, Manning said, “It’s definitely something of interest,” noting that the Giants are the only team he would consider. The Mara family has owned the Giants since 1925, and the team has not commented on Manning’s interest. Manning already owns part of the NJ/NY Gotham FC in the National Women’s Soccer League and is a partner in a private equity firm, although his firm is not one of those approved for NFL stakes.

Additionally, Manning voiced support for the Giants’ decision to retain head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen after a challenging season. He emphasized the importance of continuity in building team culture and success over time. As he transitions from football, Manning is exploring new business ventures and will serve as an ambassador for Verizon FanFest, seeking to rekindle his passion outside of sports.
