Chess Sudoku is an innovative game that merges the logic of chess with the classic structure of sudoku, developed by the popular YouTube channel, Cracking The Cryptic. The game introduces three unique puzzle types: Knight Sudoku, King Sudoku, and the forthcoming Queen Sudoku. In Knight Sudoku, players must adhere to traditional sudoku rules while ensuring that no digit appears a knight’s move away from itself, adding an intriguing layer of complexity. King Sudoku involves a similar restriction, where digits cannot be a single diagonal move apart, while Queen Sudoku requires players to keep each ‘9’ apart in rows, columns, diagonals, and 3×3 boxes, mimicking the movement of a chess queen.

Creators Simon Anthony and Mark Goodliffe have personally curated hints for each puzzle, ensuring they are well-tested for engagement and enjoyment. Players start with zero stars, earning them by solving puzzles, thereby unlocking additional challenges of various difficulties from easy to extreme. This design encourages skill enhancement as players progress. Both Simon and Mark are experienced competitors, having represented the UK at the World Sudoku Championship, and they emphasize teaching solvers to enhance their abilities through their puzzles. Chess Sudoku promises to captivate puzzle enthusiasts with 100 meticulously crafted puzzles across the knight, king, and queen variants, delivered with expert hints from the creators.
