Midday Stock Movers: GETY, TSLA, MRNA, SSTK Show Significant Changes

In midday trading, several companies made significant headlines. Nvidia shares declined 5% after reaching an all-time high earlier in the session, despite announcing new gaming chips incorporating its Blackwell technology. Conversely, UniFirst shares increased 18% following competitor Cintas’s proposal to acquire the company for $275 per share, leading to a 2% rise in Cintas shares. Getty Images and Shutterstock stocks surged due to a $3.7 billion merger announcement, with Getty gaining over 24% and Shutterstock nearly 20%. Aurora Innovation soared 37% after unveiling a partnership with Nvidia and Continental for driverless trucks. Inari Medical’s shares jumped 22% after Stryker announced it would acquire the medical device company for approximately $4.9 billion, while Stryker slipped 1.6%. FuboTV saw almost a 7% increase, building on a massive 251% gain after Disney’s announcement to combine Hulu+ Live TV with Fubo. Micron Technology rose 3% after Nvidia CEO praised its memory for new AI GPUs. Moderna rallied 11% for its bird flu vaccine development, while Paychex added 2% after acquiring HR software provider Paycor. Lastly, Tesla shares fell 4% following a downgrade by Bank of America. Carvana also increased by about 7% after an upgrade by RBC.
