In a significant merger, image databases Getty Images and Shutterstock announced a $3.7 billion deal, with Getty’s stock climbing 45% and Shutterstock’s by 24%. Conversely, Tesla’s shares fell by 2% after Bank of America downgraded its stock due to execution risks and high valuations. Carvana experienced a 3.8% increase after RBC upgraded its rating. Aurora Innovation’s shares surged 37% on news of a partnership with Nvidia and Continental for driverless trucks. Micron Technology’s stock rose 3.7% after Nvidia’s CEO confirmed sourcing memory from Micron. Ulta Beauty’s shares increased by 1% with news of CEO Dave Kimbell’s retirement and an improved outlook. Finally, Uber’s shares went up over 2% after announcing a collaboration with Nvidia for autonomous driving technology and a stock repurchase program with Bank of America.
