Amit Yoran, CEO and chairman of cybersecurity firm Tenable, passed away unexpectedly at age 54 after battling cancer. His death was confirmed by Tenable, where he had served as leader since 2016, guiding the company to a successful IPO on Nasdaq. Yoran held notable roles in the cybersecurity sector, including president of RSA Security and National Cybersecurity Director for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. During his tenure, he emphasized the company’s unique focus on technology vulnerabilities and a successful subscription model. Co-CEOs Steve Vintz and Mark Thurmond will continue to lead Tenable while the board seeks a permanent successor.
