Delta claims the incident resulted in over $500 million in losses due to canceled flights and refunds. CrowdStrike contends that Georgia law prohibits Delta from converting breach of contract claims into tort claims and that Delta’s own systems contributed to the extensive delays. Despite the legal dispute, Delta continues utilizing CrowdStrike’s services, citing the difficulty of changing cybersecurity providers. CrowdStrike experienced a temporary stock drop but has since recovered.
